Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) or Employee and Family Assistance Programs (EFAP) provide employees with confidential and anonymous access to a variety of resources, support and counseling.  These services are generally offered around the clock and all year round by toll-free phone, online or referral to in-person therapists.

EAPs first came about as a way to provide alcohol and substance abuse programs to employees.  They soon evolved to include mental health, grief counseling and emotional support services.  Today, EAPs cover a broad spectrum of issues including: health, wellness, legal, financial, parenting, elder care, education, retirement, stress management, interpersonal skills and everyday issues.  This broad approach has helped to reach and benefit more employees in the workforce. It has also helped to lift the negative stigma of using such programs. Call us to learn more.
